Do You Have to Use These Vendors? No.
You’re welcome to choose your own photographer, caterer, florist, DJ or other wedding vendors.
Our preferred vendor list is simply a collection of people and businesses we know and trust. Many have worked at Bates Barn before, so they’re already familiar with the space and how weddings work here.
The one requirement applies to every caterer, whether they’re on our preferred list or not. Caterers need $1,000,000 in general liability insurance, with a copy provided to you and Bates Barn.
If family or friends are preparing the food, the same insurance requirement applies and at least one person preparing the food must have a valid Food Handler Certificate.
